Goodbye 25 and Hello 26 ...

Just a few minutes left and I will turn into 26 (well, by the time this post is published, I'm 26 already)

Goodbye, 25. Thanks for all the moments I have been through

I must say, it was one of the most important periods of my life so far. I have learned so many lessons within this year, tried to figure out who I want to be, what is my mission, found the way to appreciate and nurture my true self as the way it is.

And I'm writing this post to recap my 25, my key learning :)

1) Career path:

- New position, struggled to handle all tasks on my own. Learned that business is business and you can not take your personal emotion into it.

- Left my first job (been there for more than 3 years, my colleagues had become my best friends, my second family)

- Suffered in a new environment, doubted my capability, took a look at myself and found a way to fit in.

- Developing a new skill set for the new environment.

- Last but not least, defining my career path for the next stage. (the most important objective at the moment)

2) Mind & Body:

- Took a Brand Marketing course: learned and structured my knowledge, rearranged my way of thinking. And the best thing was I not only learned a lot from both coaches and my teammates but I also overcame much pressure from work and finished this course. Our team even won the best presentation on the final exam. Hard work was really paid off.
One more thing, I'm grateful that my team and I still keep in touch and every time I meet them, I learn a new thing and we always have a great conversation on many topics.

- Zumba: attending a Zumba class every week. At first, I danced awkwardly but then I pushed away my shyness, learned to release the whole body, and feel the music. Zumba really makes a great impact on both body and mind 'cause I don't have a chance to think about my problems while trying to keep up with the dancers. It helps to get my mind off the troubles for a while and push the stress away. Finally, my body movement is way better now and after every class, I feel joyful and refreshed.

3) Soul:

- Heart-broken: my summertime sadness. Somehow we crossed paths in life, did have a great time together, and ended everything with respect and kindness.

- Surrounding myself with great friends and family. The time when I felt hurt and vulnerable, my friends and family always opened their arms, comforted me, and made me feel loved and treasured. Yes, I'm so grateful that I have such amazing friends who have been there for me and helped me overcome my sadness.

- Meeting new friends: I have made several new friends this year, many of them have become my close friends. We exchange thoughts, points of view and I must say that I learn a lot from them. Thanks for being a part of my life.

4) Personal growth:

- Changing the workspace also changed my perspective and way of working. I cool down my hot temper and stay calm to solve the problems.

- Start writing a blog: although I may be the only reader of this blog, I still love writing it. I find joy in writing and so far try to define the content direction for this blog.

5) Fun facts:

- Total countries visited: 3 (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore)

- Total cities/provinces visited: 9

- Total books read: 12

- Book that took the longest time: Sophie's world (almost 5 months to finish this book) - a book about the history of philosophy.

- Book that took the shortest time: Murder on the Oriental Express - only 01 Sunday to finish this detective book because I couldn't put it down until the end of the story.

Dear 25, you have been so good to me so far. Thanks for bringing me lots of great experiences. Goodbye to you and thanks again for everything.

Hello 26, please come in!
